Curriculum, GPA or average, IB predicted score, and any SAT, ACT, IELTS or TOEFL scores you enter. Activities you add: title, your role and hours per week.

What you do here

Universities we suggest for you, the ones you add to your tracker, application status, checklist tasks, notes, and messages you send to the AI counselor.

Email settings

Whether you want deadline reminders, and when we sent your welcome email (so it only goes out once).

Your grades, scores, budget and target countries are how we sort universities into likely, target and reach, and explain why each one fits. Your tracker and notes are there so you don't have to remember every deadline. The counselor reads your profile so it can answer about your situation instead of giving generic advice.

We email you sign-in codes, one welcome email, and deadline reminders for applications you track. You can stop reminders whenever you like; sign-in codes keep coming only when you ask for one, because that's how you log in.

A few companies process data on our behalf. They get only what they need for their part.

• Supabase

  Our database and sign-in. Your data is stored on their servers in Tokyo, Japan.

• Vercel

  Hosts the website and runs the code that answers your requests.

• Resend

  Sends our emails: sign-in codes, your welcome email and reminders.

• Anthropic

  Runs the AI behind the counselor and the “why it fits” notes. It receives the parts of your profile needed for that answer.

Essential cookies are always on, because sign-in doesn't work without them. Anything optional waits for you to choose “Allow all”. None of our cookies hold your scores, your email address or anything that identifies you in readable form.

Your browser also keeps two things locally, never sent to us as cookies: a draft of your onboarding answers (so a refresh doesn't lose them; cleared when you finish), and, for one tab session, the email you're signing in with.

As long as you have an account. When you delete it, your profile, grades, activities, recommendations, tracker and counselor messages are removed from our database straight away. Our providers may hold short-lived copies for a while after that, such as database backups and email delivery logs, until their own retention periods run out.

Go to Profile and choose Delete account. It's permanent and takes effect immediately. Can't sign in? Email dev@racoonwise.com from the address on your account and we'll do it for you.

Want a copy of your data, or something corrected? Most of it you can see and edit on your profile. For anything else, email us and we'll help.
